Happy Monday, I hope this email finds you in good spirits and ready to make the most out of your week. Admittedly, I’ve found it difficult lately to remain consistent with blogging in the midst of balancing all the other responsibilities of everyday life. However, I truly love blogging as my creative outlet, so when I fall into moments when I’m not finding time to do the things I love, I know that I need to slow down and reevaluate my priorities. There’s also something about this time of year that makes me want to reorganize everything, set new goals, and simply start fresh with everything. So here’s to getting back on track, letting go of the crustiness of winter, and embracing the chance to always start anew.
This week I’m highlighting two of my favorite styles at the moment, the off-the-shoulder top and wide-leg denims. This particular top is from Zara. I think that the off-the-shoulder look is the perfect way to ease into the warm weather of spring/summer and there’s something just very elegant about showing a little shoulder.
I’ve just started easing back into the wide-leg pant. This pair is from Target, and without question what I like the most about these is the way they elongate my legs, giving me at least two extra inches in height. I love the fact that this style of jeans has been around since my mom was young and now it’s making a comeback decades later. Hence why I recommend never throwing away items because they are “out of style,” there’s truly no such thing. Every style has its moment, and will have its moment again. Definitely something to remember.
I wish I could give you guys details on this beautiful bag but I actually purchased this last year during Essence Festival in New Orleans and I can’t remember the vendor name. I may be making another visit to the Festival this year so I’ll keep you guys posted.
Have a wonderful week!
Love,
MB
