Happy New Year! I’m about a month late since we’re now approaching February, but I took some time off from blogging to rest, think, and focus on outlining my 2017 priorities. Last year I launched Myriha.com unclear on what direction I wanted to take it, I just had this strong feeling that it was something I needed to do for me. I’ve since had so many good things stem from taking that leap of faith. In the wave of continuing that leap of faith, I’m excited to share that I have officially launched my Personal Styling Services in the Chicagoland area. Personal styling is something I’ve contemplated transitioning into for several years, and now feels like the perfect moment to get started. What better way to start the New Year than with a new venture? And with so many hurtful events happening in our world right now, it makes me want to pursue the things I love and hold on aggressively to the things that make me happy more than ever.
I’m not really one for New Year’s resolutions but I will say that I have an overall goal of simply thinking deeper this year; thinking deeper about the decisions I make around my career, the books I read, the content I consume on a daily basis, the food I eat, and the opportunities I pursue. This intentional thoughtfulness, in a moment where everyone is reacting so quickly and so loudly, will help cancel out the daily clutter and navigate 2017 feeling more grounded and connected to my priorities. Fingers crossed, hands in prayer.
What are you guys doing to make 2017 even better than your 2016?
[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]N[/eltd_dropcaps]ow for details on this look. I am a complete sucker for a good coat; I always have been. I can remember back to elementary school days being super excited to buy a new winter coat every year. This striped long coat is from H&M and I was very lucky to have found it during their winter sale. I consider coats to be serious wardrobe investment pieces, meaning I would be willing to pay more for a good quality coat that would last multiple winters than I would typically pay for another item in my wardrobe. This one is a great length, considering I’m relatively short at 5’3, and it just screams sophistication and elegance. I absolutely love it. Check below for full details on this look, enjoy!
Love,
Myriha
